BDEC2 workshop San Diego to focus on AI and machine learning for future cyber-infrastructure

The latest BDEC workshop, was organised by the US partners from October 15th to 17th in San Diego, California. It gathered about 70 participants, of which around 40 from the US, 20 from Japan and China, and 12 from the EU - for which the particpation was organized by EXDCI-2.

This workshop focussed on the importance of AI and machine learning for future cyber-infrastructure (both hardware and software). In addition, there was be keynote talks, regional updates, flash talks, presentations of demonstrators and work in breakout groups.

The next edition of the Big Data and Extreme-scale Computing project workshop series will be held in Porto, Portugal during the EuroHPC Summit Week 2020.
